This policy explains what personal information we collect on www.theoneandco.co.za, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We take the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) seriously and try to write plainly: we collect only what we need to run a wedding marketplace, and we never sell your information.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number (optional), wedding date, estimated guest count, and your message.
When you apply to list a business: your business details, contact information, pricing, photos, and company registration number where provided.
When you browse: anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, device type) via Vercel Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
How we use it
Enquiries exist to connect you with the venue or vendor you chose: we share your enquiry details with that business so they can respond to you.
Applications are used to review and, if approved, publish your business listing.
Email: we use your address to answer you and to send the correspondence you asked for. We do not send marketing email without your consent (the application form asks separately).
Where it lives
Your information is stored securely in a database hosted in Cape Town, South Africa. Transactional email is delivered via Resend. Our website is hosted on Vercel. We share personal information with no one else, and we never sell it.
Your rights (POPIA)
You may ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@theoneandco.co.za and we will action it promptly — deletion requests are honoured unless we are legally required to keep something.
